Meet Liz Denny: Championing Access to Life-Saving Women’s Healthcare at Bexa

At Bexa, we believe that every woman—regardless of her background, income, or location—deserves access to life-saving healthcare. At the forefront of this mission is our Marketing- Experience Lead, Liz Denny, whose personal and professional journey has uniquely positioned her to help break down barriers to breast health services for women across the country.

A Personal Connection to Women’s Health Advocacy

Liz Denny isn’t just a marketing expert—she’s a passionate advocate for women’s health. With a master’s degree in psychology and more than a decade of experience in digital marketing-specifically in women’s health engagement, Liz combines analytical skill with deep empathy to create campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. But her dedication to Bexa’s mission goes far beyond her professional expertise.

In this month’s BEA blog, we’re proud to feature Liz Denny, Marketing Lead at Bexa, whose personal story underscores the power of identity and purpose in healthcare advocacy. As a woman of mixed-race Liz shares what it means to navigate the world with a blended cultural perspective. Growing up in a rural area, she experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing quality healthcare, particularly as a woman of color. Her Chinese heritage instilled in her a deep respect for family, wellness, and resilience, while her mixed background taught her the importance of representation and equity. Liz’s work at Bexa is not just professional—it’s deeply personal. Her passion for increasing access to life-saving breast exams for women of all ethnicities is rooted in her belief that every woman, regardless of race or location, deserves early detection and compassionate care.

“As a woman of mixed ethnicity—half Chinese and half French Canadian—I’ve experienced firsthand how cultural, geographic, and systemic barriers can impact access to quality healthcare,” Liz shares. “I’m passionate about ensuring women of all backgrounds can get the care they need, because I know how critical and life-changing it can be.”

Growing up in Rhode Island, Liz witnessed the challenges many families face in securing timely, quality medical care. Limited provider availability, long travel distances, and financial obstacles were constant hurdles. These experiences not only shaped her perspective but also ignited a lifelong passion to advocate for improved healthcare access—especially for underserved and minority communities.

Leading Bexa’s Mission Through Marketing

In her role as Bexa’s Marketing Lead, Liz oversees the development and execution of all marketing strategies, from educational campaigns and community outreach to partnerships and social media engagement. Her work is instrumental in spreading awareness about the importance of early detection through the Bexa Breast Exam.

“Early detection saves lives. It’s as simple as that,” Liz says. “But awareness alone isn’t enough. We need to reach women where they are—whether that’s through their employers, community organizations, or online platforms—and provide them with the tools and information they need to take action.”

With Liz’s guidance, Bexa’s marketing team has expanded its efforts to ensure that messaging is inclusive, accessible, and empowering. From multilingual materials to culturally sensitive outreach strategies, Liz’s personal background and understanding of diverse audiences help shape every campaign.

Breaking Down Barriers, One Story at a Time

One of the aspects Liz values most about her work at Bexa is the opportunity to share the real stories of women whose lives have been changed—or saved—by early detection.

“Every time we hear from a woman who caught breast cancer early because of a Bexa Exam, it reinforces why we do what we do. These stories remind us that behind every data point or campaign metric is a person, a family, a life,” Liz emphasizes.

Her psychology background also informs her approach to marketing. “Understanding human behavior and decision-making is at the heart of both psychology and effective marketing. My academic training helps me craft messages that not only inform but also inspire action.”

Looking Ahead: A Vision for Inclusive Healthcare

Liz’s vision for Bexa and women’s healthcare is bold and inclusive. She envisions a future where early detection services are not a luxury or a privilege but a standard of care for all women—regardless of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or geography.

“Healthcare equity isn’t just a talking point for me. It’s personal,” Liz affirms. “I want every woman to have the same access to life-saving services, whether she lives in a major city or a small rural town like the one I grew up in.”

Beyond Bexa

When she’s not leading marketing efforts or advocating for better healthcare access, Liz enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and staying active through yoga and Bar Method—interests that reflect her holistic approach to well-being.

At Bexa, we’re proud to have passionate, driven leaders like Liz Denny shaping our mission and expanding access to life-saving breast exams. Together, we’re working toward a healthier, more equitable future for all women.
